No experience is required for our program and we accept students from different backgrounds. This program is designed to give students a hands-on veterinary experience, whether it be to build up a resume, to decide if veterinary medicine is right for you, or just to experience the wildlife of Africa while helping animals.

All activities and safari’s will be handled by professional and experienced staff.

No, you will need to collect your luggage as soon as you arrive in Johannesburg/Cape Town and redirect it to East London where you will be collected.

Yes, an official Phezulu staff member will be wearing clearly marked clothing and drive in marked vehicles.

Dec-March the weather is hot (bring bathing suit, sunscreen, hat)

April through November can be chilly with very cold evenings (a weather resistant jacket as well as gloves, scarf and a warm beany is recommended)
